Bio Obit*Born in Erie, Pa., January 14, 1870, Mr. Sheldon moved to this city with his parents at the age of twelve years. He attended the local public grade schools and was graduated from St. Bernard High School where he took a business course. In September 1888, Mrs. Sheldon became a letter carrier at the local post office and remained in that position until 1917 when he was appointed assistant postmaster, a position he had held since. In 1892 Mr. Sheldon was instrumental in forming the Bradford branch of the National Association of Letter Carriers and remained as its secretary until he became assistant to the postmaster.
