Research Notes
|
Research Comment* | Miss Margaret Miller of Winchester [Indiana] is listed as a surviving daughter in Hannah Goff McGeath Slager's obituary. Margaret was under three years old when her father died and it does not appear her mother was able to support her and her siblings. She was likely a fostered child like her brother but can not be found in the 1910 Census. Margaret Miller is listed as single in the 1920-1940 U.S. Censuses. Its unknown whether she simply changed her name or took a foster parents surname. |
