Census1880* | 1880; Washington Township, Cambria, Pennsylvania; William Conville was a Coal Miner.; Head of Family=William Conville4 |
Research Notes
Research Assumption* | William and Mary Conville are Patrick's parents. According to 1880 Census they lived next door to each other in Lilly, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. William vouched for Patrick during his petitiion for U.S. Citizenship. His date of immigration is the same as Patrick's.; Principal=William Conville4 |
Research Comment* | Mary's maiden name is in question. Her son Patrick Conville's death certificate (his daughter was informant) lists his parents as William Conville & Mary Quinn and his birth date as 1 May 1854. Doonane Parish Records list the baptism of several children to William & Mary Brennan including Patrick on 14 May 1854. Doonane is the region where correspondence was received after their emigration. A Mary Quinn was listed as a sponsor for son Michael Convilles baptism in 1861. |
