Bio Note* | Tholomiah graduated from business college and became a travelling saleman; his itinerary included Omaha, Ft. Laramie, Ft. Phil Kearney, North Platte, Crete, Friend, NE; Cheyenne, WY; Council Bluffs, IA; Chicago, IL; and Baltimore, MD. He sold dry goods, groceries, lumber and real estate. He was a Register of Douglas County, NE, for six years. At one time there was a little town of about 12 to 15 miles east of Rock Springs, WY, named "Megeath" ( now called Superior, Wyoming). He managed a general store there for several years and was also Postmaster. He retired in September, 1900.1 |
