 Lineage. -- WILLIAM COLLIS, an officer in Heriome Sankey's Regt. of Horse, in Cromwell's army, left a son,

 JOHN COLLIS, m. Mary, dau. of Philip Corridon, of Kilmacaha, and had a son,

 WILLIAM COLLIS, of Lisedoge, co. Kerry, m. 1685, Martha, 2nd dau. of Col. Frederick Mullins, of Ballingobbin (now Burnham), near Dingle, by his wife Jane, 4th dau. of Dean John Eveleigh, by Mildred Caldwell his wife, and had a son,

 1. WILLIAM, of whom presently.

 He m. 2ndly, 1693, Mary, 2nd dau. of Rev. Dr. Benjamin Cross, Rector of Christ Church, Cork, by Anne his wife, 2nd dau. of Dean John Eveleigh, before mentioned, and had issue,

2. JOHN, m. Elizabeth, dau. of Peter Cooke, and was ancestor of the Castle Cooke branch.

3. Thomas (Rev.), Vicar of Dingle, m. Avis Blennerhassett, of the Ballyseedv family, and left issue, a dau., Jaue, m. Frederick Mullins, eldest brother of Thomas, 1st Lord Ventry.

4. Edward, s. his half-brother; m. Ellen, dau of Christopher Hilliard, of Ballygarron, and had issue. He was ancestor of the family of COLLIS of Lismore, co. Kerry.

5. ROBERT, of whom hereafter.

REV. WILLIAM COLLIS, Vicar-General of the Diocese of Ardfert, m. Isabella Galwey (d. 23 Nov. 1771), of the family of GALWEY of Carbery, and d.s.p. 25 May, 1754, leaving all his estates to his halfbrother Edward.

ROBERT COLLIS, 5th son of William Collis, by Mary his and wife, m. 1st, Elizabeth Day, dau. of Edward Day, of Tralee ; and 2ndly, in 1743, Mary, dau. of Maurice Fitzgerald, Knight of Kerry, by Elizabeth, sister of Maurice Crosbie, 1st Lord Brandon. By his and wife (who m. 2ndly, Thomas Rice, grandfather of Thomas, 1st Lord Mounteagle) he had issue,
