Biographical Notes

Bio Obit*Mrs. S. E. Pratt was the daughter of Jacob Bowman, and was born in the white house behind Sand's bakery on Fourth street, now occupied as a horseshoeing establishment on Mar 11, 1836. At the age of 15 she was married to Daniel E. Smith and this union was blessed by eight children, one of whom died in childhood. After Mr. Smith's death she married Horace Pratt, in 1891. Eight children were born to them. She was a true Christian woman and generous and kind to all and will be greatly missed. Erie Sunday Herald, 8 Dec 191210
